Are you prepared to work hard? You'll be at least a year on the practice chanter learning the fingering before even thinking about playing the bagpipe! There is NO short cut to learning to play the 'Noble Instrument'...
Are you at primary school in East Lothian? If so contact feisdhuneideann@feisean.org and/or pholden@elcschool.org.uk and ask about the 'Introductory sessions' which are ongoing. They supply practice chanters and tutors to let children try it out without any cost or obligation for 8-16 weeks. Upon completion, a certificate is issued and continuation is encouraged with a local pipe band for those who want it. Is something being arranged for YOUR school?
Are you between 12 and 18 years old? If so check out http://www.lbcadets.co.uk/. The Army Cadet Force will supply the practice chanters and tutors to let children 'suck and see' with a system in place to take them as far as they want to go with piping.
